While other edge types are available, we recommend either a pencil or flat polished edge for our Onami™ textured table tops and counters. A pencil polished edge softens the look of a table top or counter while a flat polished edge gives a sharper, more crisp look.

The more expensive edges such as beveled or bullnose or OG are generally used to add style to an otherwise plain piece of glass. This sort of adornment is generally an unnecessary expense for an already stunning piece of Onami™ Glass.

There are two types of glass used for Onami™ surface sculpted glass table tops. 3/4” “clear” which has a deep green tint and starfire and optiwhite which are both called optically clear or low iron glass.

Though the edges of both clear and starfire and optiwhite have color the color of the starfire low iron glass is approximately 50% less than the emerald green tint of ordinary clear glass.

An Onami™ surface sculpted glass table top made from low iron glass adds the style and visual presence not found in any other type of custom textured glass table top.
